Your team & responsibilities
The Content Department at Cafeyn is structured around geographic entities corresponding to the Group’s main markets.
The Head of Content and Publisher Relationship Management reports to the Chief Content Officer and operates under their strategic direction during the maternity leave interim period, works in close coordination with other regional Heads of Content to ensure strategic alignment, best practice sharing, and consistent performance management across all markets.
Your missions
1. Content Strategy
Execute and operationalize Cafeyn’s content strategy for your region (UK, Australia, US, Canada and other English speaking countries), in line with the Group’s overall vision and objectives and in collaboration with the Chief Content Officer.
Contribute to strategic initiatives related to existing business models, partnership formats, and content services, ensuring effective execution during the interim period
Ensure the consistent execution of the content strategy in line with Cafeyn’s positioning as the most trusted and innovative European champion of news and entertainment streaming.
2. Partnership Management
Lead the local Content Team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and performance excellence.
Act as the operational point of contact for publisher partners: negotiate and renew content distribution agreements, follow up on contractual and business KPIs, and conduct regular reviews to ensure mutual satisfaction and growth.
Support the expansion of Cafeyn’s content portfolio by onboarding new partners and strengthening existing relationships through strategic collaborations.
Coordinate closely with internal teams (product, data, business, marketing, tech, legal) to ensure the seamless delivery of content initiatives.
Promote Cafeyn’s full range of offerings (e.g Cafeyn Digital Services and digital advertising solutions) as part of a 360° partnership approach.
3. Market Development & Monetization
Identify and leverage market opportunities in line with existing growth priorities, focusing on content monetization, digitalization services, and advertising integration for content providers.
Lead and coordinate joint marketing and co-branding initiatives with key partners to maximize engagement and value creation.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of publishers’ challenges and business dynamics to anticipate their needs and propose relevant solutions.
Contribute to business development discussions and partner interactions as required.
4. Representation & Ecosystem Influence
Represent Cafeyn within the media, tech, advertising and publishing ecosystem in the UK, in coordination with senior management.
Represent Cafeyn at relevant industry events when appropriate and coordinate with senior stakeholders on representation needs.
Promote Cafeyn’s values and leadership in innovation, partnership, and responsible media development.
Share insights internally and externally:
internally, bring publisher insights to inform company strategy;
externally, share Cafeyn’s vision with industry stakeholders to strengthen its influence.
5. Budgeting, Analysis & Performance
Help manage, monitor, and optimize the content acquisition budget for your region, ensuring alignment with Cafeyn’s global financial objectives, in collaboration with the Chief Content Officer and Finance teams.
Establish and track clear performance indicators (catalog coverage, partner satisfaction, content-driven revenue, budget respect, usage metrics).
Produce regular performance reviews and analyses for the Chief Content Officer.
Ensure data-driven decision-making across all activities.
6. Leadership & Team Development
Lead and support the UK team with a culture of autonomy, accountability, transparency, and collective performance.
Support and ensure the execution of ongoing transformation projects within the team and the Group.
Develop team members’ skills, define priorities, and ensure alignment with Cafeyn’s overall strategic goals.
Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments and geographic content teams to strengthen Cafeyn’s international cohesion.
7. Innovation & Strategic Intelligence
Maintain active market and industry watch across the media, tech, and content distribution sectors.
Monitor trends, risks, and opportunities and share relevant insights across the organization.
Support a culture of innovation and experimentation, contributing to Cafeyn’s continuous evolution in content, technology, and user experience.
Who are we looking for?
Requirements
Experience & Background
5+ years of experience in Business Development, Account Management, or Strategic Partnerships, ideally within the media environment.
Proven track record of negotiating and managing complex B2B distribution agreements.
Experience working with publishers or content partners is mandatory.
Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth through upsell, cross-sell, or portfolio expansion initiatives.
Experience managing budgets and building business cases.
Skills & Competencies
Strong negotiation and commercial acumen.
Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term vision and day-to-day execution.
Analytical and data-driven: comfortable tracking KPIs, interpreting performance metrics, and making recommendations based on impact.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, both externally (C-level partners) and internally (Marketing, Product, Finance, Sales).
Strong presentation and reporting skills, with the ability to synthesize performance insights for senior leadership (e.g., CCO level).
Ability to manage multiple partnerships simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
